Kordsa

Products

Kordsa develops innovative and unique intermediate products and applications for composites technologies for the aerospace and automotive as well as sports equipment and marine. In the EMEA region, Kordsa has a composite manufacturing facility and R&D center at Composite Technologies Center of Excellence. Kordsa’s manufacturing facility at the Center also has AS9100 certification. In parallel with its strategy of increasing its global market share and expanding its product range, Kordsa acquired two major players of the composite industry in the US, Fabric Development Inc. and Textile Products Inc. as well as San Diego-based Advanced Honeycomb Technologies. With these new acquisitions, Kordsa took a major step towards reinforcing its position in the North America.

Prepregs

The term ‘prepreg’ defines a reinforcing tape or a reinforcing fabric pre-impregnated with a resin system. Kordsa, as a global player, serves to the composite industry manufacturing epoxy, hybrid, cyanate ester, polyvinyl butyral (PVB), phenolic and modified phenolic prepregs with different reinforcement matrices such as carbon, glass, aramid and hybrid.

Fabrics

Mechanical Characterization and Nondestructive Testing Laboratory Kordsa has a wide range of unidirectional and bidirectional fabrics (plain, twill, harnesssatin and basket). Carbon, glass or aramid fibres can be used as reinforcement materials in traditional and hybrid fabrics. Woven fabrics can be suitable for prepreg production, vacuum infusion, RTM and wet layup. We reinforce life with our social responsibility projects

Kordsa renovates another school in an effort to reinforce the future

Kordsa, committedly continues to carry out corporate social responsibility projects in line with its “We Reinforce Life” vision. In this regard, Kordsa once more made a contribution to reinforce the future of the children in İzmit, the town in which Kordsa’s story started 45 years ago. 250 volunteers from Kordsa sites around the world renovated a primary and secondary school in İzmit, Kocaeli.

 
Kordsa Came Together with Little Reinforcers

Kordsa visited the school in the Bahia region within the scope of the Excellence Visit made to the factory in Brazil. Organizing a variety of games and activities with the little students of the school it supported within the scope of social responsibility project at the end of the day, Kordsa will continue to reinforce the future with its social responsibility projects.
