Grand Award presented to two Kordsa teams at the 20th Quality Circles Sharing Conference
Kordsa has been awarded the Grand Award in the category of quality circles at the 20th Quality Circles Sharing Conference organized by KalDer (the Turkish Quality Association). Group Flex, established for flex automation in Kordsa's finishing machinery and Group “Ip Koptu”, established in an effort to reduce waste on aramid bending machines, were honored with awards at the ceremony held on October 11.
The 20th Quality Circles Sharing Conference, organized by the KalDer Ankara Branch aimed to raise awareness of teamwork within organizations and to encourage the sharing of best practices. The Quality Circle and Kaizen Awards were awarded this year for the tenth time. Kordsa received the Quality Circle Award for the seventh time since 2008.
Ali Çalışkan, Kordsa CEO, congratulated Group Ip Koptu members for their work on flex automation in the finishing machinery and Group Flex members for their work to reduce waste on aramid bending machines. Çalışkan expressed his satisfaction with the success of both teams as follows: "As Kordsa, our adventure began with EFQM excellence model in the 1980s and evolved into the open innovation concept and mutual collaborations. Our teams have made us proud this year by demonstrating Kordsa's philosophy of continuous improvement to all participating firms.
