Reinforcement technologies’ leader Kordsa, after expanding its lines of business to composite technologies in 2016, acquired Fabric Development Inc (FDI) and Textile Products Inc. (TPI), which provide advanced composite materials to the commercial aviation industry, with an investment of approximately USD 100 million. With these acquisitions Kordsa aims to follow the same path that led to leadership in tire reinforcement technologies to build a 2^nd Kordsa in composite technologies as well.

Recently Kordsa is honored with two awards in Brasil. Kordsa previously listed among the best employers in Brazil third times by the Great Place to Work Institute (GPTW), has been named the 18th best company among 150 companies. Kordsa has also deemed worthy for the “Best in Internship Practices” award in Bahia for the third year in a row

According to the patent research database, innovative reinforcement technologies leader Kordsa is among the top 10 companies in the world with the number of patents issued in industrial textiles as of 2018.

For its contributions to the foreign trade in Turkish economy, Kordsa was deemed worthy of once more Export Champions Award in the textile category by Turkey Exporters Assembly (TIM) and received its award at the "TIM 25^th Ordinary General Assembly and 2017 Export Champion Award Ceremony”.

Exporting technology to the world from Turkey, Kordsa supports university projects as a reflection of its  mission to reinforce the future. Yıldız Technical University Racing team, reinforced by Kordsa’s composite technologies,  participated with its fifth vehicle in Formula Student, the largest engineering competition held in Autodromo Riccardo Paletti in Varano, Italy. YTU Racing team’s project that Kordsa provided with composite material support, succeeded to be in top 20 among 60 teams.

Kordsa exhibited its products for the aerospace and aviation industries at the CAMX 2018, held in Dallas, Texas on October 16-18. Acquired by Kordsa in 2018, Fabric Development Inc. (FDI) and Textile Products Inc. (TPI), strategic material suppliers of global commercial aviation industry, represented Kordsa at the Expo.
